Yaanendriya Secures ₹15 Cr From Piper Serica

Drones, robots and unmanned vehicles depend on accurate positioning. That becomes difficult when GPS signals are blocked, disrupted or deliberately jammed.
Bengaluru-based Yaanendriya has raised ₹15 crore from Piper Serica to expand its indigenous sensing, navigation and control technologies. The capital will support research, faster product development and a wider portfolio of high-precision systems for mission-critical environments.
The company was founded by Vamshi Bharadwaj M V, Vyshak Y, Vijay HP and Aravind Thumbur. Its early work began at the Indian Institute of Science’s Biomechanics Lab, where the team focused on MEMS-based inertial measurement systems that could be used outside controlled laboratory settings.
Yaanendriya develops hardware and software that allow autonomous systems to sense movement, estimate their position and maintain control without depending entirely on satellite navigation. Its products are relevant to the wider development of physical AI and autonomous machines, where reliable operation depends on more than software intelligence alone.
Its SynCore series provides navigation and control for drones, robots and underwater vehicles, while the YDX range includes inertial sensors built around accelerometers, gyroscopes, magnetometers and barometers. Yaanendriya also plans to develop a hardware-agnostic navigation platform and advance high-precision MEMS accelerometers and gyroscopes for NewSpace applications.
The technology fits within India’s growing deep-tech ecosystem, particularly in defence, aerospace, industrial automation and mobility. Yaanendriya says it has worked with more than 20 customers across several application segments and has signed an agreement with the Indian Army’s 515 Army Base Workshop to supply components and sensors for unmanned vehicles. The new funding will help Yaanendriya move from pilot validation toward larger commercial deployments. Its challenge will be proving that its navigation systems remain precise and reliable across demanding real-world environments, from underwater operations to contested airspace.
