Generative AI can produce an image or video in seconds. Determining whether that output contains a protected character, logo, celebrity likeness or recognizable artistic style can take much longer.
CopySight has raised $3 million in Seed funding to expand its intellectual-property risk platform. The round was led by Mucker Capital, with participation from Taisu VC, Flint Capital and Yellow Rocks!.
Founded by Tommy Petrov, CEO, and Konstantin O., CTO, CopySight helps studios, brands, platforms and creative teams assess copyright and likeness exposure before AI-generated work is released commercially. Its CopyScore system checks content against known intellectual-property libraries and creates a record of how the asset was produced.
The company has also launched CopyScore V2, extending the platform from still images into generative video. It analyzes footage frame by frame, looking for characters, faces, logos and visual styles that may appear only briefly. Prompts, model versions and generation settings can also be recorded as part of the review.
CopySight says it has completed more than 87,000 copyright and IP risk checks since January 2026, representing a 25-fold increase in platform usage. Customers, partners and users named by the company include AGBO, ArentFox Schiff and OpenArt. These figures and relationships are company-reported.
The platform sits within the broader growth of enterprise AI governance, where companies need controls around how generated content is reviewed, approved and documented. It also connects with the wider AI copyright debate over ownership and commercial responsibility for machine-generated work.
The funding will help CopySight bring its scoring architecture deeper into enterprise video-production pipelines. Its challenge will be proving that a risk score can become trusted evidence for legal teams, insurers, and studios-not simply another warning generated before publication.
