A founder receives a customer contract. Instead of finding a lawyer, requesting a quote, booking a call and waiting days for comments, the document gets dropped into Slack.

Falcon checks it against that company’s own legal rules, explains what matters, proposes redlines and passes the work to a qualified lawyer for approval. The finished contract comes back within 24 hours. The founder is not supposed to become better at legal work. Falcon wants the legal work to disappear from the founder’s desk.

That idea came from an expensive lesson.

Before Falcon, Amaury Gérard, David Nguyen and Quinten Vandermeulen spent six years building HR software company Mbrella. As larger customers arrived, contracts became slower and negotiations heavier. Gérard recalls paying around €4,000 and waiting three weeks for a contract the company needed signed on Friday. After Mbrella was acquired by D’Ieteren, the founders teamed up with former Freshfields lawyer Rémy Bonnaffé to build the legal service they wished they had been able to buy.

Falcon has now raised €1.5 million in pre-seed funding, led by Syndicate One with Stelena Capital, Greenpark Investment Partners, RDY Ventures and Source Ventures participating. Former Allen & Overy global senior partner Wim Dejonghe has joined as a founding adviser.

But Falcon’s more unusual decision happened before the AI was switched on: it removed the billable hour.

New customers spend 45 minutes teaching Falcon how their business works, including the risks they will accept and the positions they normally take in negotiations. That becomes a legal playbook against which future NDAs, DPAs, MSAs and customer or vendor agreements are reviewed. AI handles much of the first pass, but a named lawyer signs off on every outcome. Falcon describes the model as closer to an “autopilot” than a lawyer copilot because the customer is handing over the task rather than using software to complete it themselves.

Pricing reinforces that idea. Falcon charges €1,000 a month for up to six tasks, €3,000 for up to 20 and €5,000 for up to 40, with unlimited template-based documents and NDAs under its published plans. Instead of increasing rates each year, Falcon says renewing customers receive more task capacity at the same price.

That is where Falcon becomes more interesting than another contract-review startup. Traditional legal economics can reward time spent; Falcon is trying to make speed economically useful to both sides. Its manifesto is explicit that the fight is with the model rather than lawyers themselves.

Early customers include Loop Earplugs, while founder posts also name Aikido Security, Chift and Warren among companies that have tested its model. Falcon is targeting €1 million in ARR during its first year and plans to expand beyond Belgium toward markets including London, Paris and Amsterdam.

Most legal AI startups ask how much faster a lawyer can review a contract.

Falcon is asking a different question:

Why should the founder have to manage the review at all?
